The decorated sugar skull\, or calavera\, is its most recognizable face: cheerful rather than grim\, and a reminder that remembering can be joyful. \nIn this beginner level needle felting workshop with local fiber artist Kim Keelor\, you’ll craft your own Día de los Muertos mask from wool and silk. Bright\, bold\, and entirely your own. Hang it on a wall\, prop it on a mantel\, or use it as a mask for your own celebration. \nWhat you’ll learn: \n\nNeedle felting fundamentals\, from raw fiber to finished felt\nHow to shape and sculpt wool with needles\nBlending wool colors to make your mask distinct\n\nHeld in our comfortable Pavilion with all materials and tools provided.
