Seasonal Work Camper Opportunity (Campground Host)

Location: Winding Stair Campground, Franklin, NC

Are you an experienced RVer looking for a beautiful seasonal setup with predictable hours, a welcoming environment, and the opportunity to be part of a growing campground community?

We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and hands-on Seasonal Work Camper for the 2026 season. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys campground life, interacting with guests, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming property.

This position is perfect for individuals or couples who already own their own RV/camper and are comfortable balancing guest relations with light farm and maintenance work.

What We Provide

In exchange for 28 hours of weekly service, we offer:

  • full-hookup campsite
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Complimentary laundry access
  • Premium placement at Group Lane Site #1, located beside the campground check-in board
  • A stable, predictable weekly schedule designed to allow time for outside employment or personal travel
 

Additional Compensation

Any hours worked beyond 28 hours per week will be compensated at: $16.25 per hour

Your Role

This position combines campground hospitality, property upkeep, and evening guest support.

Grounds & Farm Support – 10 Hours/Week

Help keep the campground and surrounding property looking its best.

Typical tasks may include:

  • Weed-eating/string trimming
  • Mowing
  • Road, walkway and campsite cleanup
  • Small repairs and maintenance projects
  • General farm and property upkeep

Applicants with handyman, maintenance, landscaping, or farm experience are strongly preferred.

Guest Services & Weekend Support – 10 Hours/Week

Be a visible and welcoming presence during busy campground periods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with guest arrivals and check-ins
  • Answering campground questions
  • Helping guests feel welcomed and oriented
  • Monitoring the campground during peak weekend activity
 

Evening Standby & Guest Relations – 8 Hours/Week

Provide peace-of-mind support during evening hours.

Duties may include:

  • Assisting late arrivals
  • Addressing urgent guest concerns
  • Helping maintain quiet hours
  • Handling minor nighttime campground issues
 

What We’re Looking For

The ideal Work Camper will be:

  • Friendly and guest-oriented
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Handy with basic tools and outdoor maintenance
  • Comfortable performing physical outdoor work
  • Experienced with RV living and campground environments
 

Requirements

  • Must provide your own RV/camper
  • Must be able to commit to the full June–November 2026 season
  • Must maintain a professional, respectful presence on property
